Why Teach? I have known for as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a teacher. As a young child, I would pay close attention to my teachers and the way they taught certain things. Once I got older, I would start “teaching” at home to my parents because I was so intrigued with being like my teachers. I have always wanted to help people and I love children so I knew that this career could be a really great thing for me. I always had wonderful teachers that would encourage me to stick with the dream of becoming a teacher. My goals are to put my student’s first, to make the class a safe space for all students and to teach them something new every day. My grandmother on my mom’s side was a teacher for over 30 years so I’m hopefully following in her footsteps. Educational Aims: I am wanting to become a third grade teacher but I will be certified to teach EC-6th.
